Blast from the past…Easter

Ah, Easter, the time of year when the weather gets warmer, the eggs get hidden by the Easter Bunny, and children get excited to find the eggs and to see what’s in their Easter Baskets.

As a small child, I was no exception, I was eager to learn what was inside my basket and to find the eggs that were hidden around the yard or the house.

As I got older, my mother and grandma let me pick out a special toy or treat for Easter, however, there was always a little bit of candy placed out for me on Easter morning.

As part of our family tradition we enjoyed eating Easter lunch together as a family; we would usually have grandma Roxie’s famous steak or ham.

Today, I was able to enjoy a nice lunch with my grandparents. We had ham loaf, which my grandpa is famous for making, green beans and sweet potatoes, and for dessert I had some Oreo cookies. 😊

What have you been doing today? What have been some of your most favorite Easter memories from your childhood? Tell me in the comments bellow.

I hope each of you has a Happy Easter, that you are having a great day with your families, that the Easter Bunny was good to each and every one of you. The Easter Bunny has been good to me.
